Fez: The Hidden Light

Synopsis

This short film is a visual exploration of Fez, playing with the stark contrast between its alleys—often dark, labyrinthine, and vibrant with an organic chaos—and the serene, luminous beauty of the inner courtyards hidden within its houses, madrasas (Islamic schools), and historic buildings. "The Hidden Light" seeks, beyond mere aesthetics, to reflect on the profound importance of the inner world, spirituality, and personal sanctuary in Arab and Islamic culture, as a necessary counterpoint to the external, and at times, superficial world. It's an invitation to contemplate the value of the intimate.
